Review on High-Performance 200W Pure Bass Subwoofer Crossover with Second-Order Crossover Frequency Distribution: 2-Way Speaker Audio Crossover Filter Divider by Fred Griffin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Cheapest subwoofer crossover I could find - good quality - does what it's supposed to do

This crossover prevents high frequencies from reaching the individual subwoofer. 2 wires (+ and -) from the amplifier and 2 wires (+ and -) to the subwoofer. The switch either blocks or allows the upper bass to access the driver. You can hear the difference. Because of this, they state that the 8Hz position is for the woofer (lets more upper bass through) and the 0Hz position (lets the upper bass out) is for the subwoofer, but set it so that it sounds best in your system. I don't quite understand the designation of 8Hz and 0Hz. I'm using it on a 30 watt per channel home receiver and some very small Polk mid and high speakers, so I can't rate it for high power applications. Now I use it on the left channel. But when you do, you're missing half the bass. So I just ordered another passive sub and another crossover for the right channel, then I hear ALL the bass. This is the cheapest crossover I could find. You'll have a hard time rolling your own at this $10 price point. I wish it had more specs and a diagram would be nice, but you can draw it yourself. Revain has a $14 Nippon sub crossover with more specs so it might better suit your needs. So qianson, What about data table and schema?
