Review on 🧢 Grey Rothco Wool Blanket - 70% Wool Content by Marina Knutson

Not the advertised product.

Okay, first off, they're not exactly grey. They're a mix of navy blue and gray with other colors scattered randomly across the fabric and to be honest, they look a bit sloppy. But overall I don't care. As other people have mentioned, it smells pretty bad when you first open it. Hang it on a rope to air out for a few days and you'll be fine. It's also a bit greasy, and I'm pretty sure it's a FR coating. But here's the problem for me: the quilt didn't feel like a quilt made primarily of wool. It turned out to be a lot lighter and more flexible than I expected. I checked the label and to my surprise the combination of materials is exactly the opposite of what is advertised in the product description. The product description says 70% and 30% wool/synthetic. I understood that this means 70% wool and 30% synthetic. The label says 30% wool, 70% nylon. I wanted a wool blanket, not a plastic blanket. It's not exactly false advertising, but the product information is definitely misrepresented to make it appear more premium than it actually is. If you are looking for a real wool blanket look elsewhere, there is a better quality blanket available for a similar price. If you like a blanket that's mostly made up of tiny plastic fibers laced with a chemical flame retardant, then by all means go for it.

Pros
  • 70% virgin wool provides instant warmth.
Cons
