I like the design of this pillow but the seller's photos showing people using it are not exactly realistic because these people don't seem to put their weight on it. When used while sleeping, you need to relax your weight on the pillow. So can it be used as intended? Yes! Placing your face in the top hole as shown in the photos will compress the pillow much more than it appears in these photos due to the weight of your head and torso pressing on it. In addition, there is a slight pressure on the chin, which is not very convenient. It helps if you have a hard surface in front of you because then the pillow will have something to support it and there will be less pressure on your chin and more on your forehead, which can handle the pressure better. If there is no surface in front of you, it is better to wrap your arms completely around the pillow (not through the side holes) as the top of the pillow will then become stiffer, like squeezing a balloon. If you don't do this, you will be leaning forward too much. Remember to lock your wrists at your elbows like you do when you cross your arms.
