Ok so I did not buy this for camping. I needed extra sleeping areas for company (of course they get the real beds and I was going to sleep in this). So I really used it like a cot. I hate air mattresses as they can be either hot, cold or mushy to sleep on (do not use an air mattress on a basement floor even with carpet - brrr, cold!). I found this camping cot to be comfortable for a few nights and did not mind sleeping on it at all. It is narrow so that is a consideration but in a pinch, I highly recommend it. It folds easily, stores compactly and I thought it was comfy.
