Just got back from a hike up Wachusett Mountain (4 miles a day, not too crazy but enough to get the impression) with my new dog and new micro spikes, very happy with both. They had a very secure fit, once they were put on they didn't have to be readjusted. They grip incredibly well on snow, ice, snow pack, trail, tree and rock. Only on first use but they seemed solid, I weigh 300 plus another 20 in a pack and all the teeth held up with no flex. As a big, heavy, tall man, I hate going downhill, but I've found I can ski down a rocky ice track much faster than I could on a dry August day. My buddy liked the design more than his $60 pair. I can't say enough good things about it.
