My 9 year old daughter LOVES this dress. The material is dense, not flimsy and doesn't show through at all. The colors are gorgeous - super vibrant - not at all pixelated or anything like what I've read in some of these other style reviews. I ordered size XL for her as she mostly wears 12-14 year old girls. the length wasn't a problem for us - it was about mid-calf, so we didn't need rad shorts or anything. It was the perfect dress for the party we were attending. fairy whirlwind. and BAGS! She's worn it a few times, the colors haven't faded - the material hasn't shed, although it's gotten past me and once put in the dryer and seems to have shrunk a bit. although it shouldn't be a problem.
