They are definitely not as large as other "large" litter boxes I've bought from pet stores. If you have a Maine Coon or other very large breed of cat, they probably won't be right for you. My cat weighs 14 pounds and while she probably isn't very happy with the size of this box, she uses it without incident. Finally, he positions himself with his front paws on the side edge. I would say they are suitable for small to medium sized breeds but not for large breeds or if you have multiple cats. In terms of quality, they're not as thick as my previous boxed purchases, but again, they're not $20-$40. One final note: they are much easier to wash off due to their smaller size.
