This is a great, minimalist battery holder that will help organize your gear and provide some protection. Cut and materials are very high quality. Although it has no padding, the piping extends slightly past the batteries for added protection from falls and bumps. The color coding is good: this one is grey, the AA battery holder is green, the SD card holder is red, etc. My only complaint is that the Velcro loop doesn't reach down far enough to close securely when using smaller mirrorless batteries . They don't fall out, but it would be nice if it closed more compactly. It would also be nice if a loop were sewn on to attach it to the lanyard. The Single + CF battery holder has one and it's very convenient, but it seems to be the only battery holder that has this feature. I make two modifications to almost all of my Thinktank holders: 1) I heat and smooth the sharp corner where the edge starts and ends. The rest of the corners are rolled which makes them smooth, but the bottom left corner (you can see it in the product image) is where the edge meets and always has a sharp edge at the heat cut. 2) I remove the rubberized tab with the ThinkTank logo on the flap to make it easier to put on and take out of the bag.
