I'm leaving the state this summer so I'm learning how to do a gel manicure. Last weekend I brought a new polish and this light to my professional manicure to test with my nail artist. She was immediately happy with the result! The light is very light and easy to use. There are time options (30,60,99 seconds), but if you don't touch anything at all, it will automatically work for 120 seconds and then turn off. The light wasn't hot or annoying. Only criticism is that the power cord is very, very short. It would be nice if the cord was longer as most outlets are near the baseboard and this cord barely reaches from the outlet to the countertop.
