I bought this item because the price was low and I needed a monitor for another office. I am using a CalDigit TS3 Thunderbolt Dock as I have a latest generation MacBook which only has Thunderbolt ports. After opening the product, the product looks decent, the quality is cheap, but I wanted to use it for work, not for gaming or editing. . I think all I have to do is replace my other monitor with this business monitor by connecting a DisplayPort cable and the power cord to the monitor. I connected my MacBook to the Thunderbolt dock and nothing. I thought it might take a while so I turned the monitor on and off but still couldn't find anything. After 30 minutes of trial and error I came to terms with the fact that this monitor doesn't auto detect and even tried HDMI but with the same result, just a black screen. I tried connecting the monitor directly to another PC and the monitor worked. ok but i bought this monitor to have a monitor for my macbook via the thunderbolt dock. So if you're looking for a business monitor that connects to a MacBook Thunderbolt Dock, this monitor isn't for you.
