Review on SwissGear Cecil Backpack Black Camo Backpacks by Tracey Gonzales

NOT the same material as the black version

I ordered the black camouflage color first. The quality of the material didn't suit me. It definitely felt like flimsy, cheap plastic (it actually makes a crackling plastic noise when you move it). From the outside you can see the cross lines, which I believe are the advertised "rip-stop" material. Looking at the all black version, I noticed that it could be made out of their more original, more durable material. I ordered it just to look at and I was right! The all black version is made of thicker and more durable material (no tear lines) and doesn't feel like plastic. So that others can see it better, I've included pictures showing the outside materials of both bags compared to the inside. You can see that the inside of the camouflage version is white, which tells me that the camouflage pattern on the outside isn't even see-through. It is only printed on the outside. The problem is that over time the outer pattern is erased and what you see on the inside is what you see - white. If you look at the black version, the material on the outside is exactly the same as the inside. deep black. This may not bother some, but I've been buying Swiss handbags for over a decade. They seem to have tried that "rip-stop" material that claims to be lighter and stronger. While lighter, it looks cheap and will eventually break in front of its old material. Why didn't they use it in all versions? I am not sure. But I'm so glad their older, more reliable material is all black.
