This is really a scarf. It will cover your shoulders if needed, but don't expect it to drape like a shawl. In my opinion, this is not "high class” for evening wear, but it is definitely functional for cocktails or work. If you're a bit chilly or need to block the wind, this is a shift so don't expect much. It can block the wind to keep you warm in your 60s and 70s, but don't count on it being warm. Use a low iron setting like "Nylon" or similar to smooth out wrinkles, as anything too high will melt. I tied it to the handle of my purse so I could have it handy when needed rather than wearing it as part of my outfit.
