The main reason I bought this flashlight was to use a micro USB cable for power. I don't have an outlet near the piano and I'm not allowed to run extension cords around the house. USB cables are very inexpensive, so I was able to easily purchase a 15ft extension for this lamp. The lamp is supplied with a sufficiently long cable and a power supply unit. On the base of the device there are two buttons - on / off and a function button. There is also a USB port to power another device with 5V. The lamp itself is fully tiltable and can hang completely horizontally over the edge of the piano if desired. The light section can be straight or fitted (or any combination in between) if desired. In terms of features, the brightness of the lamp can be adjusted in either warm white or daylight mode by holding the function button on the desired color. The third function allows the user to hold down the function button to select a color temperature between two extremes. Overall this is a very good light that would make a great piano light, especially if you need to run a low voltage mains supply over 6 feet.
