Review on Gildan 10 Pack Cotton T Shirt G5000 Men's Clothing and T-Shirts & Tanks by Matt Barsa

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Cheap t-shirts

I recommend these t-shirts. I'm 5ft 8", 140", I don't like tight shirts so I bought a bigger one. I'm happy with that, although I'm sure the medium would have worked. I'm comparing the Guilden T-shirt to the Fruit of the Loom Platinum you'll see at Wal-Mart.Pro - Guilden looks better. and the size was the same for the two t-shirts that were in the box. The neck has become smaller, but not stretched. I assume the fabric around the neck doesn't wrinkle like many Fruit of the Looms do. Unlike many Fruit of the Loom, there were no protruding threads. Guilden has a heavier stuff that's better for most of the year where I live (East Tennessee). I don't want a see-through t-shirt. Also, nobody who sees me wants me to wear a see-through t-shirt. Cons: The Fruit of the Loom is much softer after the first wash. I washed the Gildan t-shirt in warm water on a low tumble for two minutes. Guilds have a tag that isn't as good as Fruit of the Loom (no tag). I cut out the label with no problem and guilds are fine now. Guilden is slightly more expensive, but both brands are good value. I've only washed guilds once, so I don't know if it fades. My Fruit of the Loom t-shirts fade but it takes many washes. I hope this review is helpful to you. Update - June 2, 2020 Money. They haven't shrunk. They haven't disappeared. However, they did not soften. The wash was on the warm setting and the drying time was three minutes on the energy saving setting. I bought a few more Gildans to replace the worn ones. I haven't washed them yet. I bought the Galapagos Blues and Oranges in large sizes. Both are 100% cotton. Shakes seem to be smaller than the Fruit of the Loom Platinum I own. I like it because I have a small head so I don't need a big neck. I'm still 5ft 8" and 140lbs and the size Large is fine for me. Medium would probably fit me better, but I like looser shirts. I'll let you know how good the new Gildans are after they've been washed in warm water and dried on low-energy heat for three minutes. Remarkably, I have a couple of old Fruit of the Loom t-shirts (about ten years or older) that are thick enough, soft enough, and still strong after all this time. . I wish I would have bought more of these. June 10, 2020 - After a single wash in warm water and three minutes in the dryer, the new Gildans have not shrunk or faded. In addition, the necks are not stretched. However, the T-shirts did not become softer, so three out of four results are good and one result is neutral 09/20/2020 - After washing several times in warm water and three minutes in the dryer, the verdict "energy saving". - same good - t-shirts didn't shrink, pilled and neck stretched Bad - t-shirts didn't soften e. Another note: T-shirt tags would be very cumbersome to wear, so I cut off the tags. November 22, 2020 - The first thing that went wrong with these t-shirts is that the necks are slightly stretched. Stretching isn't bad, but it's noticeable (at least for me). Nevertheless, I would give the shirts 4.5 stars. They seem a little softer, or maybe I'm getting used to them. They don't look prickly to me. They didn't fade or shrink. I definitely like them a lot more than the ultra thin Fruit of the Loom Platinum. November 28, 2020 - I only bought Gildan oversized t-shirts. I am very happy that the sizing was very consistent. Gildan has much better quality control than Fruit of the Loom. March 11, 2021 - I have increased my rating to five stars. T-shirts became soft after about 10-12 washes. The neck stretched a little, but not much. I'm picky, so I can tell better than most people. I dry my t-shirts by putting them in the dryer on low power mode for three minutes and then putting them on the bamboo dryer. I do NOT dry them by hanging them on hangers. T-shirts still look great and don't fade. I wear them often and enjoy the different colors. September 16, 2021 - T-shirts are still in good condition. One note: I think a 6.0 gauge fabric is much better than a 5.3 gauge fabric. I bought some light green 5.3 t-shirts to be more visible while running. The necks sagged after four washes. In summer they served their purpose. However, I would not buy the 5.3 oz again. The 6.0 ounce t-shirts held their shape with minimal sagging or wrinkles at the neck.
