Beware of Cockroach Pieces

I needed bubble wrap to wrap some dishes for donations, I always do that instead of letting them rattle around in the box and get broken before they get to the thrift shop.

So as I was unrolling this roll of bubble wrap I noticed something black and I thought perhaps it was a burnt spot from melding lengths of bubble wrap together because in the center it looked like three or four inches down the middle of about 4 feet of bubble wrap was melted together so I closely inspected the black spots and they were pieces of cockroaches stuck in the plastic! I was not happy about that at all. There were some big pieces and then about 10 inches further there were two more spots of them as you can see in the photos. As far as bubble wrap goes, you do need extra because the bubbles aren’t super puffy and strong, they’re rather flat-ish but it worked for my purpose except for the cockroach pieces which I cut out and threw away, I did not wrap anything with those pieces! and thankfully there was just that one section of about 2 feet.

Pros
  • These are super convent when shipping out fragile items! I love that they have an adhesive on them!
Cons
  • The bubble wrap was fine except that the perforated areas did not come apart easily.
