Review on Ultimate Sun Protection: Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen - Essential Skin Care Solution by Holly Smith

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal for all skin types including sensitive skin with eczema

I'm so glad I found this sunscreen! My son has sensitive skin and suffers from neurodermatitis. Many foods seem to irritate his skin, but not Blue Lizard. The lotion is quite thin compared to some other sunscreens, so I find it a little easier to spread on the skin. You may notice a slight white cast, but that's a very small price to pay for protection. I have no problem with it being greasy or sticky on my skin or anyone else in my family's skin. My son loves that the bottle changes color and I love it too because it's a great reminder when there are harmful UV rays around us. It smells slightly, but this product has no added fragrance. Don't mix them up! I am also very happy that the bottle I bought on 04/24/2016 does not expire until January 2019. My bottle will never last that long, but I'm glad it doesn't. I don't have a 1 year expiration date like other products I've purchased. So if I have to buy another bottle at the end of summer, I know I can use it next year with little or no worries. I'm not worried about the price. While this is slightly higher than what you can easily find in pharmacies, Blue Lizard Sunscreen is paraben-free and has been rated a 1 (the highest rating you can get) by the EWG. If you don't know EWG, it basically means that the ingredients in the product are safe for health and also offer good UVA/UVB protection. Thanks to other reviews as well as the company endorsement I now know that Baby Formulas and Sensitive are very similar so you can just buy what you can find at a lower price. I would say if you spend a lot of time in the water you might want to look at a different sunscreen as it is not waterproof. It's perfect for playing in the garden, park or any other time you spend outdoors.
