Great as a backup change pad when our primary one is in the wash. Also used this on the floor sometimes and it works well when you are holding the baby with one hand, opening it up and shaking it out on the ground with the other. The weight of it makes it easy to manage. After time, the underside starts to soften and become less liquid resistant. Nonetheless, it held out for the critical period we needed it for and works better than a regular flannel blanket for diaper changes in other rooms of the house where you don't have a change pad.
