It looks very cute on your table and keeps your drink warm. In some cases, this can make your drink hotter than it was before you placed it on the cup warmer. It doesn't work as well if you put a thick mug on it, but it works very well with paper cups and medium-thick mugs. I think you should turn the fire off after a few hours, but I've kept it on the highest setting for half my workday and everything seems fine! The only "bad thing" is that you have to plug it into an outlet.
