Four stars can be generous depending on life expectancy; It was only installed in two days. For the money this little photocell is a good value. The best part is that it works with the LED bulb I use. A few minuses - the rubber seal should be an O-ring. The spacer is too big for its purpose. Also, the wiring instructions are useless. The diagram on the photocell looks like red should be paired with white, which is incorrect for US wiring standards. US standards: black - hot, white - neutral, green - ground (or just solid copper wire). Assuming your wiring is the same, the wiring looks like this: All whites (neutral) connected together (house, lamp, photocell). The black color of the photocell is combined with the black color of the house. The red color of the photocell is combined with the black color of the lamp. Finally, it may take some time for the photocell to respond (switch on or off). This delay is typical of photocells used with LEDs.
