I know it says all over your page that this skin IS MADE FOR 2ND GENERATION PENCILS ONLY! but I could not find a similar replica of the #2 pencil made out of silicone for the 1st generation Apple Pencil. Other reviewers said it worked on the 1st gen, so I took a chance. And yes it is! If you ask me they look even better on the 1st gen pencils because of the metal part which makes them longer than the 2nd gen pencils. Remember that the "eraser" part is separate from the main yellow part of the skin so it's easy to apply and fits snugly. It won't slip, that's for sure. My only problem right now is that the pencil is too thick to get stuck in the pencil slot of my new case. But gosh, regular Apple Pencils are like trying to draw with a glass pen! You can't hold them and they slide off the table at the slightest incline of the surface. This prevents that from happening as there is also a flat side but the silicone is grippy. I like to draw! I love it! If you've just got your hands on a 1st generation pencil, don't hesitate. 1st and 2nd generation have the same thickness all around and differ only in length.
