When I opened the package I was surprised at how small the pin was. It appears to be a decent hardwood, but it just dangles in the pinhole on our Grobet jeweler's workbench. I'm new to this and it's probably my fault for not understanding the dimensions of the workbench pins, but another pin I bought fits MUCH better (a spring-loaded workbench pin that clamps sheet metal). Before purchasing, just understand that you are receiving a miniature needle. Maybe you're really looking for such a product, but it didn't work for us.
