This is a beautiful, delicately patterned hat. I ordered the blue version which is a lovely shade similar to worn denim. It is crocheted in a loose, airy design reminiscent of flowers. The edge of the hat is scalloped. Of course there is also the very large flower appliqué, which, along with the cloche style of the hat really does have a fun vintage look. I wear a size 6 3/4 in hats (size S) and this fits perfectly and just covers my ears. It feels fairly stretchy so I think it would fit most women. Although it is light-weight, the hat feels very warm and I was surprised to see that it is made of 100% acrylic. The yarn has a soft, fuzzy feel that reminds me of wool, or at least a wool blend. There is no label sewn in to the hat itself verifying the yarn content. I've reviewed quite a few hats claiming to be wool or cashmere that aren't. This is the first hat I've run across that looks and feels like wool but apparently isn't! I wear a hat almost every day from the beginning of November until the end of April or so, and I have quite a few of them. I'm always on the lookout for something new and different to add to my collection so I'm really happy to have run across this one. I really like the charming style and the hat feels so warm and cozy. It looks just as nice with jeans and a denim jacket as with a wool coat. The current price of $16.99 is more than reasonable considering the quality of the yarn as well as the workmanship.
