Review on Sony AIRSA10 S-AIR Speaker System - Black: Discontinued Product Review and Features by Andargie Marquez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great little speaker!

So I'd like to share my thoughts and clear up some misconceptions I've picked up from other reviews. First I googled for interference issues with the S-Air technology and read from a guy that you need to adjust your router settings. This was easy because I always save this to a notepad file on my desktop. Do yourself a favor and change the channel on your router BEFORE the speaker goes to high channels (I used 11 which is the highest for Linksys). I followed the instructions which are very simple and the device was up and running in about 5 minutes. I spent more time figuring out where to put the speaker than setting it up. The speaker quality is excellent. It has a very clear, rich sound, but I'm by no means a music lover. Sometimes the speaker just turns off for a second, but it's not very noticeable unless you pay a lot of attention to it. However, I understand that all wireless devices sometimes have these problems. Also, I was concerned because I thought it might look/look or sound/like an alarm clock speaker. Just to be clear, it clearly sounds like a speaker, mind you, but it will suffice for my needs. The construction is very solid and the low profile looks very stylish. I usually use this speaker primarily for movies and music, not for TV or everyday listening. The best comparison I can make is that it sounds like a 75 watt speaker I think. This is a device. Before all the comments yes I should have known from the picture but I couldn't tell from any of the reviews I read. It has been said that there are two speakers and while I assumed it was only one unit I just wanted to be clear. There is a block consisting of a non-detachable left and right speaker, but only one block as shown in the image above. I didn't take this into account in my review because. it has nothing to do with the quality of the product, but Sony should be ashamed of forcing consumers to buy the transmitter separately. This is wrong and leaves the customer with a bad impression of a good company and products.

Cons
  • Poor manual
