This is the fourth car seat I've tried (some of which were gifts) and this Maxi-Cosi is the best so far (I compare my experience to the Cosco Mighty Fit 65 DX, a Britax B system car seat – Lively Travel and Graco 4Ever 4-in-1 car seat). I also tested them on my 10 month old boy. Pros: • Plush Seats - Of all the car seats I've tried, the Maxi-Cosi are the softest and plushest. This pack comes with extra seat and back cushions but I didn't need them. • Easy cleaning. All car seat manufacturers should make it mandatory that the fabric/material can be easily removed. Babies lick/squirt fluids all the time, so being able to clean car seats is very helpful. All Maxi-Cosi covers, including the shoulder straps, are easy to remove. • Easy to Use Straps - The center clip is magnetizable and very easy to put on and take off, including a safety strap with a red button. Other car seats I've used require more pressure to unbuckle the straps. Plus, the strap holders conveniently keep the straps out of the way, so you don't have to reach into your child's back or buttocks to grab the buckles. • Neck comfort is my favorite feature. With other car seats, my child's neck has always arched/hanged when falling asleep in the car, but not with Maxi-Cosi! The design and the degree of recline of this car seat ensure that my child's head reclines comfortably. Cons: • Packaging - not sure if it was just me, but my car seat was a bit dirty. When I opened the box, the car seat wasn't wrapped in plastic or anything (which I think is a good thing from an environmental point of view), but there were a few scuffs and the fabric was a bit littered with scraps of cardboard. As I mentioned I could have easily tossed the fabric in the wash but that was a little concerning when I first saw the condition of the seat and it looked like it had been used. • Size - Maxi-Cosi is larger and slightly heavier. than any other car seat I've tried. I had to raise the passenger seat to accommodate it. • Cup holders – just one? Not that my kid squeezes milk bottles twice, but having two cup holders is handy for holding random toys and other things. Many other car seats in this price range have 2 cup holders. • Price. Cost is a more understandable issue. This car seat is definitely better than others I've tried, but it's still an issue. Installation was also easy and it was stable in the car. Overall, I really like this car seat.
