So beautiful! But sad because it's too big for my hair

It's so beautiful! But that only makes me sadder because it's just huge! I have long fine hair and it falls out right away, the clip/handle portion is so wide it's a lot bigger than expected. I gave it to a friend who loves it because she has the opposite problem: very long and thick hair, she loves it but I was so disappointed because it's so damn beautiful I wanted to keep it. I didn't see sizes when ordering and it looks like a normal clip size in the picture but it is closer to a banana clip in length and quite wide.
