My studio is quite dark, so there are many different lights around my workspace. But it still wasn't enough to sew all the black fabrics I work with. When I saw these lights, I had to order them immediately. You insert tiny plastic clips where you want the strip to attach, peel off the backing paper, and stick them on. In the month I've used these lights (a lot), about half the brackets have come loose from my car, but I'll probably just put a small dab of hot glue on them to keep them in place. It is worth equipping these lanterns. As for the flashlight itself, WOW! It's so bright! I see all my tiny seams in the deepest black fabrics. You've heard people say they don't know how they got by without a particular product, but it has actually made my sewing so much easier that I never want to be without a lightstrip like this ever again.
