Review on ⚡️ Satechi USB-C Magnetic Wireless Charging Cable - Ultimate Magnetic Wireless Charger for iPhone 12 Pro Max/12 Pro/12 Mini/12 by Erin Jackson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good third-party version of MagSafe (with one important difference)

This MagSafe cable is one of the newest alternatives to the official Apple cable. In terms of design and build quality, it's basically just as good, but not quite as chic. I like the space gray color, but I have to point out that it's plastic, not metal. The USB-C cable connector is really big, unusually big. This is because this product is basically a standard Qi charger, except it's very compact. You had to put the circuit board and other components at the end of the cable where the USB-C connector is. The second issue is charging speed: It's impossible to get more than 7.5 watts of power from this charger with an iPhone ( iPhone 12 or other series). Apple's official MagSafe will charge the iPhone 12 series Mosel at 15W. It still has magnets and attaches to the back of iPhone 12/12 mini/12 Pro/12 Pro Max, but it takes the same time to charge as any traditional wireless charger. Maybe you don't care about loading time and just want the MagSafe feature to be able to connect to your iPhone. If so, this will work for you. However, if you want a charging speed close to that of a USB-C Power Delivery fast charger, this product may disappoint you. Satechi is honest about the features of this product, which is why I still give it 5 stars. It's just that some buyers might not understand the slight differences between this version and Apple's version.

Pros
  • EASY CHARGING - Equipped with a built-in wireless charging module to easily power your iPhone 12 - up to 7.5W. 18W AC adapter or higher required (separately available)
Cons
  • Zero
