These speakers offer amazing sound quality for their money. They really are not inferior to other brands that cost 2-3 times more. I installed a cheap 2 channel marine amplifier from Pyle put 200 watts into the 23' pursuit, powered it from a Boss caliber style receiver and used a waterproof 10" active Rockville subwoofer mounted on the bulkhead in the cockpit. The sound is amazing with Bass hitting hard clean highs and a full vocal mid-range I bought 85hz bass blockers but these speakers didn't need them and quite frankly unless You really want to turn your boat into a floating club on a sandbar, most people would be happy with 2-4 of these without a subwoofer. and I have $380 in the system which sounds like I spent $2,000.
