I came across this packaging idea while watching The Real Housewives. How have I traveled all these years without knowing this packaging strategy!? This year I was in Buffalo, NY for Christmas and used my packing cubes for the first time. They made my suitcase much more organized to pack! I ended up making a mess anyway and living off suitcases for 10 days but it's my fault. Packing cubes are lightweight, which helps with airport weighing! I definitely recommend packing similar items together, shirts in one, pants in another, etc. It helps you find what you need and unpack as well. I was so blessed that I was able to do my laundry before I got home so I didn't have to put my smelly clothes in one of the cubes. I rolled up my clothes to maximize space. It also helped make the "walls" of the cubes sturdier and easier to load more into. The zippers and mesh held up well. I really wish I could buy all 6 the same color but I think if I go on a shorter, warmer trip I could use 3 pinks and have my husband use 3 greys. My packaging life has changed!
