The bottom clamp is mainly for clamping to the edge of a flat table. I don't know if I've seen a table like this for a long time. Most tables are no longer separate areas as they used to be. In my case the table frame is below; there is no single point of a simply flat table except at the left and right edges; even then it is only an inch wide. It's not enough for that. I tried clamping the frame bar but since the clamp is straight C it wobbles because the adjustment screw is too thin. This basically assumes that the surfaces are perfect everywhere; So unless you've reinforced it with some kind of wood or something (which I don't want to do), this might not work for you. The best I could do was pinch the holes in the wire holes, which worked but not exactly what I wanted. Metal C with adjustable screw, make metal top with adjustable bottom. It can therefore be used in a variety of ways for "complex" tables and desks.
