Runs very small! I ordered size XL, which is 44 inches hip width in the size chart. My hips are 42 inches so I figured they would fit snug and maybe even a little loose. When I put it on the buttons, the buttonholes didn't come together, except that I had pulled the fabric too tight! As this is a button down skirt and the buttons are quite spaced apart, you cannot rely on it being stretched to fit. It's just too big and looks ridiculous. As you can see in the attached photo, the extra large size is only 40 inches at hip level (9 inches below the waist). Very big difference to the size 44" given in the size chart! You should definitely order this one.
