I bought these shoes last summer while hiking the Appalachian Trail. This year I bought a new pack thinking the old one was drying out. That didn't happen, so this year I took it with me in a new package. During the section hike, I needed significantly less "cleaning wiping motion" than with normal toilet paper. (TMI is coming!) Usually with toilet paper, I'm at least a triple wiper AND a strong "wrapper" - I get a decent handful to clean up my business. With them, since I was on the trail and wasn't sure how long my battle towels would last (because I also used them to wash my hands after meals and to clean my face since I didn't have soap on the trail), I have them only used two napkins. . Only two! I definitely expected that I would need more. And I realized that I'm a real walking machine when I had a normal toilet with thick, fluffy toilet paper towards the end of my two-week adventure. After cleaning my shop, I didn't feel clean YET. So I grabbed my Combat Wipes and finished the job, and only then did I feel comfortable. Highly recommended! And the year-old pack was still fresh and damp.
