These shears are in good condition and I am keeping them. But two problems. 1) The claim that they are adjustable is simply not true. The pin that connects the two halves of the scissors is absolutely fixed. It works like a rivet, with no adjustment facility. Lying to increase sales is not good policy in my opinion, even though it has become the norm lately. 2) As mentioned in other reviews, thumb and forefinger holes are on the small side. My hands are medium-sized for a man, and while I can work with scissors, they're not very comfortable. If I decided to send them back - due to dishonesty and small size - I would give them one. Stern UPDATE Exactly one year later - I've just re-read that review and now it seems a little harsh. Of course, after a year of use, the scissors are still not adjustable (🙂) until they needed to be adjusted; and cut well. And they kept their sharpness, which happened to me a few days ago. And even though they're small, I've learned to manipulate them with my "medium" hand, so there's no problem with that. .If you're a big guy, come on in. Other than that I honestly can't complain about these scissors and appreciate their consistent sharpness.
