This product just works. I bought a brand new ivory fabric sofa and it doesn't hit walls so all sides are open. I knew my cats would destroy it in a few weeks if I didn't find a way to keep them. I chose this product and it really worked. My cats didn't touch where I put the tape. For many months they left my sofa alone, and it wasn't until enough fluff and lint from the duvet stuck to the outside of the sheets, making them more sticky, that they started scratching from time to time. I took off all the sheets for a while thinking that maybe it was long enough for the cats to lose interest but during the week when I had nothing to protect my sofa they ripped the corners so ordered I more of these sheets and covered them all open spaces. Pages again and immediately the cats stopped scratching. These sheets didn't damage my couch when I took them off, just do it carefully.
