Review on Edifier TWS5 True Wireless Earbuds - 32 Hr Battery, Mic, Charging Case - Black by Stacey Littlejohn

TWS5 is the top of Edifier's line of true wireless headphones. Edifier is a top-notch company that offers serious innovative technology at an affordable price (that's half the price of a similarly priced Apple product). I also have two pairs of speakers from them and other headphones. I also found their customer service to be very good. I like Edifier so much that I look for them among the bigger and better known brands. TWS5 true wireless earbuds are mostly fun. The battery life is unmatched for these wireless earbuds (8 hours on charge and 24 additional hours via the charging case). I used it every day for two weeks before I had to charge it/the case. For Bluetooth headphones, the sound is good (aptx), the range of the Bluetooth signal is long, they connect with no problems without a case. Couldn't be easier. I appreciate the sweat and spatter rating as I use them outside all the time. A disadvantage is the volume. I have an Android phone with the latest operating system. Even at 100% volume, they're not as loud as they should be in headphones at 100%. This becomes an issue when I'm in a public place with any level of noise around me. There is no option or app to just control the headphone volume. When I contacted Edifier about this, they said it was because these aren't full-ear headphones. I personally think it's a Bluetooth issue because I have similarly shaped wired headphones that sound louder and isolate audio just as well. I tried toggling the "Disable Absolute Volume" button in developer options on my phone but that didn't seem to do anything. The headphones aren't so quiet that I can't hear them, but 100% shouldn't sound like 50% or 65% the volume of other headphones. Another minor downside would be the blue light on the sides of both earbuds that will flash from time to time. often I suggest that you know what and what it is connected to. In really dark environments, such as B. A bedroom with the lights off or red eyes, the flashing blue light is bright enough to cause a small flare around you. It's not very convenient for the people around. In general, despite the problems with volume and blue light, I am satisfied with the purchase, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
