This is cute, but it says they recommend rocks for drainage. I guess that would add too much cost for shipping so you must supply your own. Without them, you have to be very careful with how much you water. I think I killed some sprouts by adding too much, and killed more by not watering enough. I don't have a green thumb, but if you know what you are doing and can help your kid, this will probably be a good gift. The seeds do sprout, so my issues are user error.
