From the reviews I thought it would break but it isn't! It was well packaged and easy to assemble but you definitely prefer to do it by hand rather than with a drill, the screws are tight and if you work fast I can see the wood splitting slightly. The shelves in mine are a bit odd, like they glued two pieces together instead of just running lines from one piece, so I'm curious how long they'll last, but I did pull them here and there before installing mine. Wine glasses and they seem to be durable so only time will tell! I have the burnt wood version and it's great! Didn't even have to dye it or anything, beautiful and relatively easy to care for. Overall I'm happy with my purchase, I think it's closer to twenty or thirty bucks but if it lasts I'll be impressed!
