Review on πŸ“Έ All-in-One Extendable Selfie Stick Tripod with Wireless Remote for iPhone Android Samsung Phones DSLR Action Camera by Jacob Fish

Great for travel and as a small tripod

This is more of a lightweight 360Β° tripod than a tripod. It works well as a selfie stick or a phone tripod and I think it will be really useful when traveling when I don't want to take the Sony A7ii with me. It weighs about 1/3 what my adult DSLR tripod weighs and is easy to carry. The stand is solid enough to hold a camera flash, LED light bar, or phone even at maximum extension, but I wouldn't mount my pro camera with a heavy zoom lens on it at any extension, and that's fine. This product was not developed for this. The extendable stem itself isn't strong enough to support that much weight, and the legs on the bottom of the tripod aren't spaced far enough to provide a solid base for anything heavy. Because the circumference of the tripod base does not expand. too far away makes it ideal as a lighting stand, placed directly behind your subject to illuminate the background or create an edge lit effect. The aluminum legs are light, which is a compromise. I like that it's easy to transport, but I think I have to be careful not to bury this stand under a stack of luggage or leave it where a forgetful teenager might step on it because the metal will likely bend and ruin them becomes. All in all, this is a good option if you're looking for a small stand or tripod for your phone at an affordable price. I put a star because the latches that engage when the bar is extended or retracted are a bit flimsy compared to the locking mechanisms on my other similarly priced racks. However, this one takes up less space and serves a niche purpose for my use, so it's still a good buy for what I need.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
