The mounting bracket is too complicated to use

Overall good product. Time will tell if the Arlo battery charges properly. Installing the base is easy, just two screws and you're done. Whether or not you see the difficulties I saw depends on your installation environment and desired device orientation. I had to install it on the soft where the two roof lines meet. Suffice it to say that I had to put the device in an awkward position on the stairs. To do this, I had to place the device on the base in one direction and then at a 90 degree angle in the other to find which orientation worked best. The device has two raised "channels" on the back, and the base has a square bottom that fits into these channels. Unfortunately, there's a locking tab on one side of the base, and there's a notch on the base for installing the tongue. This means that the unit only travels in one direction to the base. I needed him to go the other way to turn 90 degrees. Hey tongue and groove locking, the block slides and locks in place, it never disengages. I understand - nobody wants their solar unit to slide off the base after going down the stairs, but I had to use a pocket knife to get the unit off the base to rotate it. I then had to cut the locking tab off the base and put it back together the way I needed it. I might add that it really is too "tight" to fit that way as apparently it wasn't designed to fit that way. By all appearances and reputation, this is a good product. Just two modifications - a more convenient latch and the ability to mount the product in different orientations relative to the base - and I would call it ideal. I hope I never have to move the panel because I don't think I can take it off the base again.
