Overall it was a good product. The packaging was good and as far as I know no parts were damaged. I used this to connect a monitor to my laptop. My laptop uses Displayport, the monitor uses VGA and DVI-D. That means I had to adjust a lot of things. I started with an HDMI to Display Port (male to male) adapter cable. Next thing I did was a DVI-D-HDMI (male-male) adapter cable. Unfortunately, you can't connect male-to-male cables. I figured a female to female HDMI adapter would work, so I ordered this one. this worked very well until recently. now here is the problem. I had two cables that connected together under my desk and the wires were just dangling. I was kicking while watching youtube and I was kicking cable and clutch. The monitor went blank for a second, showed a "No Signal" error message, and then returned to showing my video. The bad thing was that there were a lot of green pixels on my screen that looked like dead pixels. If you ever run into this problem, simply unplug both sides of the connectors and plug them back in. that worked for me.
