I bought 3 of these devices last year. First one I bought for my Samsung Galaxy S7, a few months later I bought one for my Asus tablet. 6 months after buying the first memory card for my phone, the memory card stopped writing and my phone stopped responding at all, took out the card and everything was fine with my phone, then I bought another one believing that I had a malfunction. A few months later the one in my tablet just crashed, stopped typing and my tablet became unresponsive. Last Monday the replacement card I bought for my phone failed. All three memory cards lasted about 6 months and they were all bought at different times so this seems to be more of an issue with Samsung memory cards. I'll be using Sandisk alone again as their micro SD cards seem incredibly more reliable in much more hostile environments. I had the same Sandisk Micro SD in my DVR in my truck recording 24/7 for the past 2 years. TO UPDATE. I've been in contact with Samsung for 2 months trying to get a memory card replaced under warranty. Finally, after 2 months of email correspondence. They accepted one of my cards back for RMA and made sure the card was safe for the RMA process as it contains personal information and of course I was concerned. Last week, Samsung lost my memory card containing my personal data. They don't send a new card until they find the faulty card. TL; DR - Samsung memory cards have a lifespan of less than 6 months and they will claim to have lost your card to avoid replacing it under warranty for you. Also, their customer service is one of the worst I've seen. TO UPDATE. I've been an avid Samsung fan for a while and have always been pleased with their products. Unfortunately, their customer service has significant room for improvement. I had this memory card and after just a few months in my Samsung S7 Active I couldn't write to the memory card anymore. I contacted Samsung to replace the card under warranty and they assured me that my personal information is safe on the card. About a week after I RMAed them the memory card, I received no response from them and didn't ask about the status of my memory card. They told me they never received the card and UPS didn't scan the label provided by Samsung and there was nothing they could do. However, they sent me to UPS offices on a hopeless search and told me to find it myself. Now I have $50 out of my pocket for a defective memory card, my memory card is lost somewhere in the world and I spend hours if not days talking to Samsung and chasing wild goose with no result. At the moment, Samsung refuses to help a customer with 14 years of experience and their customer service representatives are quite rude on top of that. With this extensive experience in Samsung's customer service and warranty process, I will never buy a Samsung product again. TL;DR: Samsung refuses to honor guarantees or help loyal customers.
