Having just moved into a very old house downtown, I've tried almost everything to meet my reclusive neighbors. While I did other good neighborhood acts, like collecting her dog poop for her when the dog poops in my front yard (without lifting a finger), I decided my next salvo to befriend these reclusive psychos would be in it insisted on adding some sound to my front porch. . After doing a little research online and visiting a local Best Buy store (only to discover that Best Buy really didn't have an audio department anymore), I settled on Polk Audio based on the good experiences I've had with my internal one Speaker. And to ensure my efforts to build and maintain friendships with my neighbors go unnoticed, I've chosen the Atrium 8 speakers, the largest in Polk Audio's Atrium lineup. And these speakers are big. These are probably the largest enclosed speakers a person can install under OSHA requirements if they ever decide to comply with consumer working-at-home safety regulations. Yes, they're big, but surprisingly handy in terms of setup. The biggest challenge you'll probably face is routing the speaker wire to where you want to place it outdoors (I had to get creative and go through the porch ceiling in my 90 year old brick home. But once the wire is taut, easy follow the instructions, fit the bracket and the speaker snaps into place, then you can secure it and its position with the two screw mounting caps.So the installation took an hour on Saturday and then I started playing music sitting on the porch wine all day slurp The excellent sound from the Polk Atrium 8 did it No matter what I played, neighbor after neighbor came either to admire a certain song or to ask to hear a neighbor with a dog this time while they were gardening to clean up the poop .People walking down my street towards downtown were smiling and dancing.I was greeted by meh visited by more aliens, the ghost of James Brown and a congressman I stopped by just to say hello and enjoy the amazing sound coming out of my Polk audio system. Thanks to Polk Audio, I now have new friends in my new city and a way to make my new neighbors smile.
