I ordered a 1.25 inch stick. Pros: Heats up very quickly. It looks good. The cable is long. The glove is comfortable. Cons: Instructions say to wrap your hair and hold it on a stick for 2 to 5 seconds. I have to leave it on for 20 seconds to make my hair frizzy. I have thick, long hair. Since I went for a big barrel, the curls look more like waves. I am not happy with the result. Also, the curls don't last more than an hour without hairspray. I have to use hairspray to hold the curls for several hours, which is not normal for my hair. In comparison, I use a Chi straightener to curl my hair. I don't need hairspray and my curls last two days with a little touch up. If you have thin hair and want to create a natural wave rather than a curl, you might like this wand. That didn't work for me.
