At first I was very happy with this product. The bowls fit well but there is no lid. The non-slip coating on the bottom of the bowl comes in handy when mixing food on the countertop. My two biggest complaints are that the shells seem to impart a metallic taste to everything in them, especially when it's warm/hot. I'm also starting to notice black dots appearing in the bowl. The marks may be due to a chemical reaction with the salt. That's my best guess. If that's true, I doubt these bowls are actually stainless steel. I've never had that with a stainless steel mixing bowl before. I no longer want to use them for fear of metal or toxins leaching into anything I cook. I will contact the seller for a refund.
