I rate these pants at four stars even though I am returning them. The fabric is exactly what I hoped- a slinky, heavy-handed nylon. They are well-made and look just like the picture. Unfortunately, I must have reeeally short legs because I ordered a size medium and the cut was much too long for me (I'm 5'6, 140 lbs, size 6- my inseam from ankle to crotch is 29"). I was hoping they'd fit more like the model (silly me) but the hemline comes down almost to my ankles, even when the pants sit high at my natural waist. The waist and hips were fitted, which I also liked, but I definitely did not like the thick, inner elastic waistband at the very top of the wide constructed waistband. It would make sense for dancers (keeping the pants in place?) but I was wanting these for much more non-athletic purposes. Nevertheless, very nice quality, just not for me.
