After putting it to use for the past six months, I'm now able to offer a review. There was no loss of any positives, but the twisted leg did "untwist" itself a few times, and there was one instance in which the microphone itself was knocked off the table. In addition to this, the "spider" always has a downward tilt. The "clamps," which lose their hold on the bends at an increasingly rapid rate. This issue can be remedied by periodically ratcheting up the force with which you tighten each of the clamps. I'd give the sound an eight out of ten. The noise from the fans cannot be masked by the use of pop filters on the microphone (I connected it to a laptop and when the screws are working at maximum, this is clearly audible on the recording). If you are not going to be performing songs with clear cues in front of a huge audience, this is therefore an excellent micro for the money that you will spend.
