I also have a Honeywell 50250-S for the same room WHY two you ask well I smoke a little and I have this next to my ashtray to absorb the smoke it works fine, (I will probably change the filter more often Oh some reviews say you can't find replacement filters now you can) Oh WHY THERE'S NO BOTTOM COVER TO COVER THE FILTERS AFTER THEY ARE INSTALLED? I love that my 50250-S has been one for 17 years. I replaced it 2 years ago because it was dented a bit from traffic and the movers broke the outer casing but still work. I just wanted a new one so what's my opinion - Works well, does what I wanted, but a bit pricey! But I told myself if I were to buy another air purifier it should be Honeywell, you can always tell if you're buying a reliable product by checking the warranty, if it's been more than a year or two the company stands to its products and you have some relief too. (it has 3 years). Update, I put the dryer on the floor, it seemed to have a rubbery smell when I turned it on (weird). And I still don't understand why there is no cover underneath where the air filters are. Updating replacement filters is horrible, this filter is horrible, you can see the smoke coming out the top so I'll try another one (Holmes) and the front is terribly brittle, those little flimsy plastic filters break easily
