This is a very strong, well constructed anatomical skull. I ordered this skull to use as a reference for my Grey's Anatomy collection (a classic book, not a TV series). This skull makes an excellent teaching tool for those taking A&P courses. This is a simple skull with no numbers to indicate specific features or key structures, but it would be very helpful to supplement information taught in the classroom and practiced in the lab. The set includes a poster with 6 types of skulls; It identifies the individual cranial bones and the facial bones that make up the skull and shows the key bone markers. It would probably be a little easier to use a tutorial or online resource (there are many free ones readily available) to view similarly tagged images at a larger, easier-to-read scale. I have the version with the cranial arteries - they're hard to study with a diagram or an illustration, and looking at them in 3D really helps to highlight the cranial entry points, the branching patterns, and the areas of the brain they serve. The key with these arteries [enters the skull through the foramen magnum (right and left vertebral artery) and the carotid canal (right and left internal carotid artery) and leads to the circle of Willis] is turned on. Do not accidentally throw away the key! (it is in a plastic bag). The current price of the skull is $39.90, which is a lot.
