10 stars for customer service + 4 stars for the kit = GREAT LED lighting kit!

later, let me start by saying that good customer service means A LOT in the online shopping world. This seller is all about big CS! 10 stars for excellent customer service! I ordered this LED lighting kit after returning a similar kit (other vendor) because it was DOA with no instructions, no contact info and no documentation. DiTRIO was the complete opposite. They provide instructions and good documentation with color graphics. The set is well packaged and protected. Best of all, they include a direct email address if you have any questions or run into any problem. What I did. The first DiTRIO kit I received appeared to have been returned to Revain by a previous customer for wrapping one (of 12) defective LED modules in scrap paper (see photo). Revain (not the seller) must have restocked the kit without replacing the faulty pod that was sent to me with my order. Luckily I did a dyno test before installing it and found the module to be faulty. Thankfully, DiTRIO includes direct email. I emailed them about the bad pod, thinking it would be easier to replace a pod. DiTRIO emailed me SAME DAY and promised to send me a brand new kit. Sent a whole set, delivery two days! No return required. WOW! That's great customer service! That's why they say "4 stars per set". The set mostly works perfectly. As described and illustrated here on Revain, there is a Control Module with a LONG power cord. This control module has a master switch on the LONG cable. There is a Y splitter 2/1. There are two 6/1 splitters. And then there are a total of 12 LED modules; four short, medium and long. There is a huge bundle of wires that needs to be taped, tied and removed from the road. I drive a Honda Fury helicopter so there isn't much room between the side panels. It was COMPRESSION to hide all those wires, which may help my remote doesn't have much range. At some point in the future I'll change the battery to see if that helps with the range, but so far so good. Minor issues: The instructions are good, but there is some misinformation. The buttons are wrong in the instructions. But just play with the remote and you'll get the hang of it. Sometimes, not always, I have to press the color change button multiple times for the color to change. In other cases, the advertisement requires a click. The remote control sometimes seems to have a "mind of its own". Similarly, the light "behaves" sometimes but not always when I press the light mode buttons, and sometimes not, requiring multiple presses. The cables of the LED modules are not as long as I would like, especially for modules installed in front of the tank. For all your cords and wires, you may still need to consider ordering a 4-pack of extensions (I recommend this 4-pack of extensions, which offer excellent cable protection and weather resistance in equal measure: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/ B078TDJHS7/). These are small things, and in general I am very satisfied. I would order this set again at any time and recommend it to everyone. Notable differences between this kit and other kits I have ordered and returned or used on other bikes: Everything seems to be of very high quality. The cables are thick and each end has heat shrink tubing covering all the wires down to the connection points. LED modules are thick but flexible. 3M protective tape is strong! Just make sure you thoroughly clean and degrease the surface on which the module is to be installed, removing dirt/dust and removing wax or protective coatings from the surface. The brake light interface is my favorite feature! I posted a video showing the brake light feature in action. No matter what color the LEDs are set to, all pods will glow red when you hit the brakes. I love this feature. I would caution you to make sure you don't "slam on the brakes" if you live in a state where flashing lights or alternating red/blue lights are reserved for law enforcement only. It's also worth noting that there's no difference if you apply the brake if your LEDs are set to solid red, as all the LEDs are already solid red. The kit includes two remote controls. A remote control for your pocket, for everyday use. The other remote is for "adjusting" the color and brightness of the light to your liking, and you'll likely leave it in your toolbox once you've got everything set up the way you want it. The kit also includes extra cables, some double-sided tape, and a pair of connectors for connecting the power supply. The kit does not include T- or end-connectors for the brake cable, so you might want to get some basic electrical connectors (or use LOTS of tape) before you start. Make sure when mounting the pods to a moving part (e.g. a pivoting lower swingarm, front fork, etc.) that you allow enough "slack" for the cables to move freely throughout the range of motion, but not too loose to get confused all with minimal positioning. This can damage the pods or even worse. Think before you nail everything down. Pictures in my review: First picture from the first set that came with the dead pod wrapped in paper. I've circled the end of the wire to show how well the ends of the wires are protected, which is true for all sleeves and wires. I like it! The remaining photos and videos have different light colors and test the brake light option. I hope this review helps you with your purchasing decision and with dressing and setting up for your ride!

Pros
  • ➀High capacity for lighter bikes: 3 x 3A large MOSFETs, AWG 22 and 24 wires provide more than enough current for the strips, even if you double the strips for a bright Christmas tree.
