I prefer these CD slot phone holders and used to have one with a much shorter bracket. I prefer this longer, more flexible lever because it doesn't obscure the view of the media buttons on my dash (2020 Subaru Impreza). It holds the phone slightly to one side, meaning the dashboard buttons and screen are no longer obstructed, and I can feel the buttons without bumping into the mount while driving. Being able to move the phone a few inches makes a big difference. It's also strong enough that I can plug the charging cable into my phone without having to stabilize or hold the mount. I am very satisfied with the functionality of this mount!
